First Aid Training

Why choose St John Training?

We are the first aid and health & safety training provider of choice for many companies, local authorities, government entities and members of the public.

Learning first aid with St John Training puts you in a class above the rest. You never know when you may be called on to assist in an emergency situation and potentially save a life.

When searching for a credible first aid training provider, there are several things you should consider:

Reputation – St John Training has been delivering First Aid training in Malta for over 130 years. We provide high quality first aid training. We lead the way in first aid training solutions, techniques, materials and equipment and our focus on ‘hands on’ scenario-based learning produces more confident and skilled first aiders.

Quality Training – Our courses are extremely practical and are held in small groups to give you individual attention and help you to feel confident and competent that you would know what to do in an emergency. We do not teach by rote, but will help you to understand the necessary priorities when treating someone, so that you will be able to think on your feet logically and safely. A mannikin will be provided to each participant during training – so you will not need to wait for your turn to practice CPR.

Recognition – First Aid courses conducted by St John Training are recognised and approved by the Occupational Health & Safety Authority and conform to Legal Notice 11 of 2002 which governs first aid at the workplace. The content of our courses has been authorised by medical and technical advisory committees, ensuring that we teach the latest techniques and our course content is regularly revised to meet the international standards.

Qualified Trainers – Our trainers pride themselves on making your experience rewarding and enjoyable. All St John Training trainers are rigorously trained in the latest first aid procedures, techniques and equipment and most are involved in operational ambulance or first aid work.

Flexible Learning Options – Our trainers can conduct courses at our fully-equipped training centre or on-site, and group training can be provided during the day, evenings or on weekends. We are also running blended training courses.

Contributing to the Community – At St John we are motivated by service to the community, not by profit. When you train with St John you are supporting a humanitarian organisation and investing in our community. All profits from first aid courses are re-invested to fund our work in the community. Through research, development and delivery of first aid training and community service programs, we are able to meet our mission of enabling Maltese people to improve their health, safety and quality of life.
