Annual General Meeting 2020

St John Malta held its annual general meeting (AGM) on 10th December 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic hasĀ  precluded St John Malta from holding its AGM at its Headquarters in Valletta.

The virtual AGM was presided over by Dr Michael Frendo Chairman St John Council, who welcomed the members of the Most Venerable Order of St John, St John Ambulance (First Aid & Nursing), St John Rescue Corps and St John Training.

The Commander St John Malta, Col. Mark Mallia, then read out his report for 2019 and gave details of the activities of the three branches i.e. St John Ambulance (First Aid & Nursing), St John Rescue Corps and St John Training. The financial report of the St John Council was then read out by the Treasurer, Sgt Jonathan Scicluna.

The AGM was concluded by the chairman, who considered 2019 to have been another successful year for St John Malta. He expressed his satisfaction for the ongoing refurbishment works at the Headquarters in Valletta.

Dr Frendo thanked the Commissioners and members of the Branches for their efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic in our country. He also thanked all benefactors who are supporting the activities of St John Malta. He concluded his address by encouragingĀ  all members to “work together so that this vision of St John Malta as a strong organisation, a very active and very well established, indeed entrenched in Maltese society, becomes more and more of a reality in 2021.”
